The Ramadan Fair in 2009 attracted nearly 92,000 visitors. It featured more than 150 companies along with a full schedule of leisure activities throughout its 26-day run. It lived up to its billing as a complete shopping and entertainment event for the whole family.
Some of the major companies that participated included Al Futtaim Watches and Jewellery, Rivoli Gifts, Juma Al Majid, Silica, Emirates Modern Poultry Al Rawdha, Al Rawabi, Ditra, Taher & Sons and Junaid Perfumes, among others. Besides, several companies from India, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Qatar and Lebanon also took part.
Special attractions at the show included a Heritage Village, free health check-ups for visitors and a workshop for children. A key attraction at the show was astounding acrobatic and magic shows and a fire act presented by especially flown-in European performers.
